No. Unlike
automobile titles, deeds to real property are prepared when a property is
being conveyed. Therefore, it is advisable to keep your original deeds,
however, it is not required to furnish when you sell. If you do lose your
original deed, a certified copy can be obtained from the recorder of the
county in which your deed is recorded.
